Arcane Enchanters do not slow down time. To reap the benefits, the enchantment must be chosen within the potion’s duration, usually 30-60 seconds. One potion can only be used to enchant one item. It is important to note that the values of an item, soul gemstone, or enchantment will not change after it has been selected. After the effect has ended, the confirmation dialog and Arcane Enchanter’s screen to rename the item can be used.

The Fortify Enchanting Effect
The Fortify Enchanting Potions do exactly what the label says. These concoctions will make the Dragonborn’s items at the Arcane Enchanter more powerful than ever when they are drunk.
The Dragonborn’s alchemy skill determines the exact strength and duration of the enchantments. Players can either grind potions or hire NPCs to increase their Alchemy skills. The skill will be increased by gear with the Fortify Alchemy Enchantment, which the Dragonborn can wear.
Fortify Enchanting Ingredients
These brews, like any potion need to start with the correct components. To save time, you can purchase most of the DLC ingredients from alchemy vendors in Skyrim. It can be very rewarding and save you money to hunt for the items yourself.
Ancestor Moth Wing – Exclusive to Dawnguard DLC. Ancestor Moths are only found in the Ancestor Glade which is visited during the main Dawnguard questline.
Blue Butterfly Wing: Blue butterflies can be found throughout Skyrim. They can be found in the wilderness around Whiterun.
Chaurus Hunter Antennae – Another Dawnguard ingredient. These are obtained from dead Chaurus Hunters. These foul creatures can be found in Dwemer caves and ruins where Falmer or Chaurus live.
Hagraven Claw – These can be looted from dead Hagravens, as the name suggests. These creatures use powerful destruction magic so be careful when you go up against them.
Snowberries: These tiny red berries can be found in all of Skyrim’s northern regions. They can be found in Winterhold, Hjaalmarch, and the Pale.
Spawn Ash is an exclusive ingredient for Dragonborns. This strange dust can be obtained from the Ash Spawn remains that roam the Solstheim island.
Spriggan Sap: This ingredient cannot be stolen from Spriggans, despite its name. Spriggan Sap must be purchased – or stolen – from various alchemy traders. If the Dragonborn buys an alchemy laboratory for specific homes, it will be included.
Combining Comlementary Effects
It’s always a good idea if you combine more than one effect in a potion, whether it’s for your own use or for sale. Combining any two ingredients will create a highly valuable blend. Blue Butterfly Wing, Ancestor Moth Wing and Chaurus Hunter Antennae all have the same effects.
You can create multiple effects with other ingredients. Combining Spriggan Sap and one of the ingredients above, along with Blisterwort, will result in a potion that can be used to enhance both Enchanting or Smithing. This potion can be used by the Dragonborn to enhance their most powerful weapon and then imbue it in magical magic.
Skyrim Fortify Enchanting Guide
It is important to note that Fortify Enchanting effects can only be obtained through Potions. This buff cannot be applied to a piece or gear because developers knew that it would create an enchanting loop that is self-sufficient and could cause a disruption in the balance.
It is possible to find a Skyrim Fortify Enchanting Potion out of the world. However, it is much easier to make one yourself.
Below, we’ll cover all alchemy ingredients you can use to make this.
Ancestor Moth Wing (Dawnguard DC): These can be obtained by catching Ancestor Moths at the Ancestor Glade.
Blue Butterfly Wing: Two wings are given to players for every Blue Butterfly that they catch in the wild.
Chaurus Hunter Antennae: These are drops that you can get by killing Chaurus Hunter Fledglings or Chaurus Hunter Hunter Fledglings.
Hagraven Claw: It is possible that Hagravens may have these on their corpses.
The snowberry plant can be used to harvest these fruits, which are found in snowy areas.
Spawn Ash (Dragonborn DC): Dropped on Solstheim by the Ash Spawn enemy.
Spriggan Sap. Spriggan enemies cannot drop it. It is instead found in random satchels, and can be purchased from apothecary traders.

What’s the Process?
The Fortify Enchanting effect activates for a short time after you have absorbed the potion. Any enchantment that you apply to an item from this point on will become more powerful.
It is important to mention that this potion modifies the Enchanting skill level of the player. It doesn’t matter what level you use it at; the resulting Enchantment will build on that base.
The effects of the potion will not be affected if it is used with an Enchanting skill at max level. This creates an unexpected loop that allows you to create truly powerful gear.
Fortify Alchemy/ Fortify Enchanting loop
Fortify Alchemy is an Enchantment that can be used in the game. It functions almost exactly the same as the Skyrim Fortify Enchanting effect but can be applied to armour.
The bonuses to the Alchemy skill allow you to craft stronger creations.
This is getting confusing. But, bear with me.
You can apply the Fortify Alchemy Enchantment to several pieces of clothing starting at zero. These stats add to your Alchemy skills.
You can make more powerful Skyrim Fortify Enchanting Potions if your Alchemy is boosted. These potions can be used to enhance your Enchanting skills and to apply powerful Enchantments on other pieces of gear.
This potion can be consumed and used to create a new set of equipment using a stronger Fortify Alchemy enchantment.
With the new gear, you can now create stronger Skyrim Fortify Enchanting potion potions.
Continue this process until you are satisfied.
You can use the Fortify Alchemy gear final set to add any enchantment to an existing armour set.
The entire process can be time-consuming and costly. You will also need a lot of Soul Gems. Your reward is the ability apply enchantments that are more powerful than any other available in the game.
However, a word of caution. If you aren’t careful, this exploit could make the game extremely difficult.
You can use the crafting loop at your discretion. This crafting loop can be extended to a certain extent, but you should stop when it gets out of control. While this won’t cause a game crash, it is better to be safe than sorry.
