Although you can certainly recycle your cardboard box or find a creative way to reuse your box, another way to be more environmentally friendly is to make your box compost. Composting helps reduce methane emissions from landfills, reduce your carbon trail, and also enrich the soil in your garden. What is not liked?
What can I compost?

Prepare your box for compost
Before you make your box compost, make sure to:

Steps for composting cardboard boxes

Place the 4 -inch layer (~ 10cm) from grated cardboard and paper boxes in a compost pile or compost trash can.

Wet a pile of compost or trash can by sprinkling or messing it with water.

Add a layer to your compost pile

Check your pile every 3 to 7 days to ensure that your compost pile is in ideal condition.
Continue to add an additional green layer and chocolate for composting new ingredients. A good ratio to maintain is 4: 1 Browns to greens.
If done in compost trash then after 6 to 8 months, fertilizer will be ready. If done outside the compost tray it will take 1 to 2 years.

Also known as composting sheets, this method requires less work than traditional composting as described above.
